Postpartum Doula &
Early Childhood Developer

As your Postpartum Doula, I am a catalyst and a vessel here to assist with the physical, mental, and emotional transitions for you and your family after introducing a new member. My responsibility and goal is to assist you and your family during your fourth trimester (first 12 weeks postpartum) and beyond, provide non-medical management of postpartum symptoms, and to act as a middle person and advocate between you and healthcare professionals.

As a Doula, I also strive to make sure the father, partner(s) or additional parent(s) feel included and heard during this process as well to set the tone for a cohesive family unit.

I have worked in a home daycare (with a separate classroom) for 6 years. Throughout this time, I have been able to provide support for families and their infants, as well as learn many things through hands-on experience.

I specifically chose to become a Postpartum Doula first, because I feel as though the postpartum transition can be under-explained, but full of challenges from breastfeeding to managing household tasks. Studies will also show the many adversities that women of color face during pregnancy and childbirth. As a black woman, I want to help change that.
